Volunteers are essential to ensuring the success of the Louisville Corporate Games. In addition, volunteering provides employees who are not able to compete the opportunity to participate. While it is intended that volunteers be employees, family members are welcome to participate as a company’s volunteer if necessary.
The areas in which volunteers are needed include those that interact with participants. Tasks include:
- Checking in participants.
- Timing and score keeping.
- Maintaining water coolers, cups, and ice at various locations.
- Setting up and tearing down events.
- Assisting with campus clean-up.
- Assisting with the awards ceremony.
Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age; those between ages 13 and 16 must be accompanied by an adult. The maximum time commitment for each volunteer is five hours.
Company volunteers will be assigned as a group when possible. There could be minor schedule changes; your company’s Volunteer Coordinator will be notified of the final Volunteer Assignment Schedule (event times and roles) one week prior to the start date of the event.
Note: If any of your volunteers have physical limitations, please let us know in advance so they are assigned a job that will meet his/her specific needs.
Companies that provide at least five volunteers will receive 10 points per volunteer, up to a total of 50 additional points toward their teams’ overall scores.
